Kaldewei

STEEL AND GLASS, MADE ONE

For a century Kaldewei has fused steel and enamel into a single material. German-made, in its own furnace, to a formula no one else holds.

One material, mastered over generations

Kaldewei is a German family company that has been creating bathroom solutions for more than a hundred years, now in its fourth generation. Its portfolio — bathtubs, shower surfaces and washbasins — is made from a single material: the fusion of robust steel and exquisite glass into superior steel enamel. Kaldewei describes its outlook as Luxstainability®, a deliberate joining of modern luxury and sustainable thinking that has shaped the company for generations rather than being adopted recently.

The only enamel of its kind

Kaldewei controls the entire value chain from its factory in Ahlen — selecting raw materials, producing the enamel, forming the steel and finishing each piece. It remains the only bathroom manufacturer in the world to produce enamel in its own furnace, working from a proprietary formula developed in its own laboratory and refined across decades. The result is a glass-hard surface that resists mechanical and chemical wear, cleans with a single wipe, and looks as it did on the first day after years of use.

An investment measured in decades

A Kaldewei piece is bought once. The steel-enamel surface withstands the stresses a bathroom imposes over decades and holds its value throughout, adding individuality and quiet elegance to the room. It is also fully recyclable — recognised with a Green Good Design Award and made from a material that is 100 percent circular. For the homes and projects Kuysen serves, it is quality that endures physically and stands up ethically: luxury that lasts, and a material designed to return rather than to waste.
